Running Injuries
Running injuries are common and negatively impact performance. They also then reduce satisfaction and enjoyment to run, which often will lead to avoidance. At The Reform Lab Osteopathy we provide a holistic view to overcome your injury.
Looking at your biomechanics and listening to your story, we will work with you to construct a treatment plan and relevant rehabilitation program. Your injury will have a diagnosis and an expected timeframe until you can get back to running again at the level you want to. Using an evidenced based approach, your loading will be monitored, where typically complete cessation of running is avoided. This allows you to continue to train, but under conditions that allow you to gradually improve your pain and function. Your osteopath will have this discussion with you on how you can do this.
At The Reform Lab Osteopathy we measure your strength/performance qualities with the renowned sports science technologies from VALD. This will allow us to show you in real time where you need to improve to maximise recovery and running performance. From here, we program an individualised targeted exercise program tailored to your needs.
Frequent running injuries:
Patellofemoral pain (knee pain)
Muscle strains (calf strain, hamstring strain, groin strain, quad strain)
