It also means the treatment that we provide is going to be tailored to you and based off the best available research.

We also are located in the brand new elite exercise and health facility Project Reform! Having access to a large range of exercise equipment, not only gives us plenty of exercise options. It also allows us to guide you through your exercises and ensure you are doing them correctly.

Our Brisbane osteopath provides a point of difference. At The Reform Lab Osteopathy our osteo also has an additional qualification in strength and conditioning. This means that he understands the principles of movement and how to function at a high level. The addition of having this qualification can give you confidence that we are here to help you feel and live better for the long term. It also means that if you a sporting/recreational athlete, our Brisbane osteo is trained to not only rehabilitate but improve your athletic capabilities so you can perform at your best.

What Is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a form of allied health medicine that seeks to optimise the body’s natural healing ability. Osteopaths are allied health professionals (5 years university trained) who focus on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions/injuries.

Osteopaths have an expertise in pain/injury diagnosis and management. They often utilise manual therapy techniques to help assist the body feel its best self. Their holistic approach aims to modulate pain/tension via manual therapy, mobilisations, spinal manipulation, exercise rehabilitation and education.

What Should I Wear To My Appointment?

Importantly, wear clothes that make you feel comfortable. However, wearing loose gym clothing is recommended.

Will I Need To Undress?

At times your osteopath will need access to regions for either assessment or treatment. However, removal of clothing is typically done to a minimum and towels will be offered so that you can drape yourself to your comfort while the osteopath leaves the room.

Importantly, if you are uncomfortable with removing any clothing then you can state so.

You do not need a referral from your doctor to see an osteopath. However, if you are receiving treatment covered via WorkCover or DVA, then we need approval of treatment from your third-party and GP.

Do You Accept Private Health Funds?

Yes we do and we have a HICAPS machine where you will only have to pay the gap fee. Depending on your health fund and level of cover, your gap fee will vary. We do not know how much of a rebate your health fund will cover. You can check with your health fund prior to attending your appointment if necessary.

Do You Accept DVA Or Workcover Referrals?

Yes we do! For DVA there is no out of pocket costs. Workcover out of pocket costs are only $3 for subsequent appointments.

What Is the Parking Like?

We know the feeling, new to somewhere and don’t know the parking situation. It certainly can be stressful. However, we have a number of car parks available in the gym itself which are available to use. Street parking on the right side of Wellington road is free and available before 4pm. Whilst the left side of Wellington road is free to park from 10am onwards. Parking is never an issue due to the abundance of street parking.
