We also are located in the brand new elite exercise and health facility Project Reform! Having access to a large range of exercise equipment, not only gives us plenty of exercise options. It also allows us to guide you through your exercises and ensure you are doing them correctly. Our facility is one of the best in Brisbane, in fact Australia. We treat professional athletes who know what the best looks like, and we take pride when they are blown away by our facilities.
In addition to having an elite facility to help with your exercise rehabilitation and injury prevention. Our treatment room is a large space that offers natural light! We know how it feels being treated for pain relief in a small room, which has no natural light. Our clinic facilities are a major reason why our Brisbane osteopaths stand out and are right for you.
Project Reform frequently gets elite professional athletes walking and training in the facility. So if you are lucky enough you may get a glimpse of some of your sporting heroes.
What Is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of allied health medicine that seeks to optimise the body’s natural healing ability. Osteopaths are allied health professionals (5 years university trained) who focus on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions/injuries.
Osteopaths have an expertise in pain/injury diagnosis and management. They often utilise manual therapy techniques to help assist the body feel its best self. Their holistic approach aims to modulate pain/tension via manual therapy, mobilisations, spinal manipulation, exercise rehabilitation and education.
Our blog written by director and osteopath Dr Jackson Redfern describes the differences between osteopathy, physiotherapy and chiropractic. It also details why he chose a career in osteopathy over an initial desire to pursue physiotherapy.
